FRM CLUB RACING RULES
AIRCRAFT
The World Models Sky Raider Mach II. ( Unmodified, except as noted herein)
Color may be changed.
Any size commercially available AMA legal spinner.
Fuse nose sides may be pulled in to 2 ¾ “ O.D. at front and secured to prevent vibrating. No other streamlining is allowed.
Any size fuel tank (muffler pressure only) no bladders or crankcase pressure allowed.
Must weigh 68 oz. dry, ready to fly.
Must have Ail., Ele., Rud., and Thro. Controlled by servos. Any appropriate size.
May use more if desired including mixture control on engine.
Any hardware may be used. Engine must be upright. Any thrust angle.
Must use Mach II wheels and landing gear struts.
ENGINE:

O.S. LA .40 and O.S. LA .46 (Natural or Blue) Must be stock.
Must use muffler supplied with engine (.40 and .46 mufflers are the same)
Baffle may be removed and muffler may be secured together by any means.
No exhaust extensions permitted. Exit hole may be enlarged or reduced, but exit pipe must be in tact.
As of Jan. 2008, there will be two (2) classes flown, OS LA .40 and OS LA .46.
All other rules are the same for both classes.
PROPELLER:
Any commercially available, AMA legal prop may be use.(cost may not exceed $10)
PROCEEDURES:
Heat races will consist of eight laps around two pylons apx. 600’ apart.
There will be a flying start on a 30 second countdown.
A pylon cut or start cut will result in the loss of one lap.
Three cuts results in a zero for that heat. First place=5 points, Second=4 points etc.
No duplicate frequencies will be allowed.
Check the FRM Website or with the race coordinator for a list of currently used frequencies.
FUEL:
RACE NUMBERS:
7” tall contrasting color on bottom right wing panel.
3” tall on both sides of fuse or fin and rudder.
Race number should be frequency but not mandatory.
